Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To shorten a conveyance path for reversing and discharging a document and reduce the number of deflection means such as a flapper.
SOLUTION: A reversing and discharging part 22 having a reversing path P2 for reversing and discharging a document conveyed from a conveyance belt 20 conveying the document to a predetermined position is provided. The reversing and discharging part has a first conveyance path which passes a boundary part between the conveyance belt and the reversing and discharging part and extends from the reversing path to the boundary part, a second conveyance path which is branched from the halfway of the reversing path and extends up to a document receive base 23, and a third conveyance path extending from the boundary part up to the document receive base and has a first flapper 39 introducing the document conveyed from the conveyance belt into the reversing path and the third conveyance path selectively. A tip of the first flapper can be displaced to a first position positioned substantially above the boundary part and a second position lower than the first position.
