To eliminate the over-closing of an electric motor so as to prevent the occurrence of uncomfortable sounds caused by the resisting force of a door by controlling the door closing operation of the electric motor to finish at the time when a pole and a latch are completely engaged with each other.
A latch 1 for selectively taking a first position for opening a door, a second position for half closing the door or a third position for fully closing the door is provided. When the latch 1 is moved from the first to the second position, a pole switch 25 is changed from ON to OFF. Then, when the latch switch is turned ON indicating the second position, the electric motor is rotated in the direction for opening the door. Then, when the latch 1 is moved from the second position to the third position, the pole switch 25 is changed from ON to OFF, and the release rotation of the electric motor is started. Subsequently, when the latch switch is turned ON indicating the third position, the electric motor is stopped.
