Abstract:
To enable independent control of a machine component such as a flight control surface by hydraulic force by a hydraulic system and mechanical force by an electric motor.SOLUTION: A double independent type hybrid type actuator system 100 includes an actuator body 110 defining a hydraulic chamber. The actuator system 100 is disposed in the hydraulic chamber, and includes a hydraulic piston assembly 118 that includes a hydraulic piston 120 dividing the hydraulic chamber into a first hydraulic sub chamber 112A in fluid communication with a first hydraulic fluid passage 114 and a second hydraulic sub chamber 112B in fluid communication with the second hydraulic fluid passage 116. The actuator system 100 further includes an electric motor 140 attached to the actuator body 110, and a screw wheel 150 mechanically united to a motor shaft 142 of the electric motor 140. The screw wheel 150 is engaged with a screw port 152 formed in the hydraulic piston assembly 118.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 1
