To provide a both-sided light emission type organic electric field light emission display device whose contrast can be improved by blocking external light, external reflection light, and back transmission light and whose picture quality sharpness can be improved by blocking external light in both a direction wherein an image is observed and the opposite direction.
The organic electric field light emission display device is equipped with an upper substrate 160 and a lower substrate 110, a light emitting element 130 which is formed between the internal surface of the upper substrate 160 and the internal surface of the lower substrate 110 and emits light of a specified color, an upper polarizing member 180A which is arrayed on one of the internal surface and external surface of the upper substrate, and an upper polarizing member 170A which is arrayed at least on one of the internal surface and external surface of the lower substrate.
