Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a dowel for joining wherein not only a simple jointing structure can be realized, but also joining strength is excellent and cross section fracture also can be decreased.
SOLUTION: A joining dowel 1 for joining woods 11 and 12 by respectively inserting or force fitting both ends into dowel holes 15 and 16 formed on respective joining faces 13 and 14 of a pair of woods 11 and 12 to be joined mutually, is formed of compacted wood 2.
