To provide a drier capable of using a microwave which is not advanced to a treated matter before and not contributed to induction heating and a microwave which is advanced to a dielectric substance other than the treated substance to contribute to the heating of the treated matter.

This drier is formed such that the treated matter is put on a conveyor 2 and carried, and the microwave is radiated to the treated matter in a heating chamber 3 formed in a moving route so that the microwave can also be radiated to those other than the treated matter. Thereby liquid substances contained in the treated matter is heated and evaporated each time the treated matter passes the heating chamber 3 to dry and carbonize the treated matter, and heat is penetrated into the treated matter for sterilization. Also, since the temperature is increased by dielectric heat of the treated matter heated by dielectric heating and the dielectric heat of a placement table 21 and/or the inside walls 36 and 37 of the heating chamber formed of solid materials heated by dielectric heating, the microwave can be efficiently converted into heat. In addition, since the heating chamber is surrounded by the placement table 21 and/or the inside walls 36 and 27 of the heating chamber, the increased temperature of the heating chamber can be efficiently head by an heat insulating action.
