To solve problems in the conventional device that flow passage switching means must be installed at several positions, a plate type total heat exchange element is formed of a moisture permeable and highly conductive heat transfer plates and rigid space plates for forming a flow passage and not formed of a material with high moisture absorbing and releasing capabilities and recovers latent heat at a low recovery rate though recovering sensible heat, and moisture in the air is hard to be arrested.
This heat exchanging/ventilating device is provided with the heat transfer plates having heat conductivity, a heat exchanging/ventilating element having the space plates alternately stacked on each other including at least a moisture absorbing/releasing agent for providing a route, between the plurality of heat transfer plates, for passing air flow therein, a rotating means rotating the heat exchanging/ventilating means, an air blow means for feeding air from an indoor to an outdoor and vice versa which is installed in two crossing flow passages of the heat exchanging/ventilating element, and a heating means for heating the air fed to the heat exchanging/ventilating element.
