Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide a method for driving an ink-jet head capable of stably ejecting ink without obtaining a time when meniscus is sucked most, at the time of ejecting ink from a plurality of nozzles.
SOLUTION: As a pulse signal comprising an expansion step for contracting a piezoelectric element and expanding a pressure generating chamber, an expansion holding step for holding the expansion, and a contracting step for recovering the piezoelectric element and recovering the pressure generating chamber, pulse signals from the start of the expansion step when changes in ejection speed and ejection amount are small to the start of the contracting step by changing the height of the liquid level (water head difference) in an orifice and an ink tank, are driven.
