To securely energize a motor and prevent an occurrence of noises or overcurrent while improving a motor efficiency and reducing power consumption and costs of electromagnetic relays.
The drum-type washing/drying machine includes the motor of which connection of stator winding can be switched from series to parallel, an electromagnetic relay device for switching the connection of the motor stator winding, a relay switching control means for conducting the switching, a motor control means, and a process control means for providing the motor control means with a motor speed control command and an electromagnetic relay device switching command. The process control means controls processes as follows: the means outputs an electromagnetic relay device switching command so that the connection of the motor stator winding becomes series in a washing process the means outputs an electromagnetic relay device switching command so that the connection of the motor stator winding becomes parallel in a spin-drying process, and the connection of the motor stator winding is made to be series when the motor cannot be energized.
