Abstract:
To reduce an energy loss, and to shorten time for drying metal foil coated with an electrode material.
A dryer 30 is a dryer that dries an electrode material for an electrode for use in an electric storage device, applied to one surface 2a of metal foil 2. The dryer 30 includes a roller 32 that has such a shape as to be wound like a coil by setting an axis as an axis line AX elongated in one direction, and heating parts (a warm air supply part 33 and a current-carrying part 34) for heating the roller 32. The roller 32 carries the metal foil 2 by winding it along the shape of the roller 32 so that an outer surface 32c of the roller 32 can face the other surface 2b of the metal foil 2.
