To provide a drying apparatus for drying clothes by using a heat exchange technology capable of attaining a high drying efficiency.
The drying apparatus includes: a housing tub for housing clothes; a casing including a peripheral wall surrounding the housing tub; a circulation mechanism including a blower for feeding heated air to the housing tub, a first duct for guiding the air flowing from the blower to the housing tub, and a second duct for guiding the air fed out from the housing tub; a heat exchange part including a dehumidification part for cooling and dehumidifying the air in the second duct, and a heating part for heating the air after the dehumidification treatment by the dehumidification part. The second duct guides the air flowing from the housing tub to the heat exchange part and is fixed adjacent to the peripheral wall.
