To provide a drying apparatus capable of attaining a high drying efficiency.
There is provided a drying apparatus for drying clothes with dry air. The drying apparatus includes: a housing tub for housing the clothes; a blower arranged below the housing tub; and a first duct extending upward from the blower and connected to the housing tub. The blower includes: a fan which rotates around a rotation axis inclined with respect to a horizontal plane and feeds the dry air to the housing tub through the first duct; and a fan casing which defines a housing space in which the fan is housed. The fan casing includes: a first wall on which an inflow port is formed for the dry air sucked by the rotation of the fan to flow in; a second wall of opposite side of the first wall; and a third wall which surrounds the rotation axis between the first wall and the second wall. The housing space includes a valley area sandwiched between the second and the third walls.
