Dust collecting equipment is provided with the dust collecting electrode plates 1 collecting dust, a voltage generating means 2 for generating the voltage to be applied to the electrode plates 1, and a polarity switching means 3 switching the polarity of the voltage to be applied to the electrode plates 1. Switching of polarity of applied voltage separates charged dust adhering to the electrode plates 1 by an electric action, and by preventing accumulation of dust onto the electrode plates 1, lowering of dust collection efficiency can be prevented.
