Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an echo canceler which does not depend on use environment, whose circuit scale is not enlarged, in which deterioration of echo cancellation is eliminated and which generates an echo canceler output signal without delay.
SOLUTION: Subtraction means 104 and 106 subtract first and second pseude echo signals that adaptive filter means 103 and 105 output from a transmission signal 102 by the control of adaptive filter update control means 107 and 108 and first and second error signals are generated. The first error signal is set to be an echo canceler output signal. An adaptive filter selection means 109 substitutes the first tap coefficient of the first adaptive filter means 103 for the second tap coefficient of the second adaptive filter means 105 in accordance with the level relation of a transmission signal, the first error signal, the second error signal and a reception signal 101.
