Title:
EDDY-CURRENT-TYPE DECELERATOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3896799
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an eddy-current-type decelerator which can avoid the interference between a permanent magnet and a guide cylinder even if bearing bushes are partially worn.
SOLUTION: This eddy-current-type decelerator has a guide cylinder 3 with a hollow ring shape, a magnet support cylinder 4 which is circumferentially rotatably housed in the guide cylinder 3, a plurality of permanent magnets 5 attached circumferentially to the outer circumference of the magnet support cylinder 4 at prescribed intervals, and bearing bushes 7 and 8 provided between the guide cylinder 3 and the magnet support cylinder 4. Lacking parts 11 are formed on the outer circumferential surfaces of the permanent magnets 5 at least on one sides in their axial directions in order to avoid the interference between the magnet support cylinder 4 and the guide cylinder 3 when the bearing bushes 7 and 8 are partially worn and the magnet support cylinder 4 is inclined.
