Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elbow pipe manufacturing method and a rectangular metal pipe which enable the manufacture of an elbow pipe having an elbow shape curved in a desired shape.SOLUTION: An elbow pipe manufacturing method, by which is manufactured an elbow pipe having an elbow shape from a linear rectangular metal pipe, including the formation of a rectangular opening in a first plane of a processing region processed in the elbow shape in the rectangular metal pipe, the formation of a first V-shaped cut spread toward the first plane each in a second plane and a third plane that do not face the first plane, and the rectangular metal pipe is curved so that the opening is positioned inside the elbow shape to weld the processing region.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 8
