PURPOSE: To provide an electric connector positioning device by which positions of contacts can be decided correctly upon work such as pressure connection for an electric connector having the contacts between plural support poles.

CONSTITUTION: A positioning device for an electric connector, which is equipped with plural support poles C1 each having a tapered surface C2 at a forward end and disposed and formed at a constant pitch in a housing, and equipped with a contact C4 between the adjacent two support poles C1, is provided with a holder 1 to hold the housing keeping a freedom degree in a disposition direction of the support poles 1; an energization member 4 to apply energization force to the housing inside the holder 1 in the disposition direction; a guide member 5 disposed over the holder 1 and made to abut on the tapered surface C2 of at least one support pole at the time of discending; and an insertion member 6 inserting and setting the contact C4 when guided by the guide member 5 on a membered connected thereto and lowered, or a connection member connecting a cable W to the contact C4.
