To make a neat pile fabric through stabilizing the tension in pile formation in view of the fact that the delivery tension roll of a loom, especially a pile-forming towel loom, moves quickly, thereby the tension gets instable, resulting in no formation of neat piles.

A control system for making such a neat pile fabric works as follows: the winding diameter of a delivery beam is electrically detected to calculate the respective feeds of ground yarn and pile separately; based on the result, the rotational speed of the delivery beam is controlled at a necessary timing, thus mitigating the quick motion of the tension roll to stabilize delivery tension.
