To provide a reed for air jet loom, mounted on its front face with a tunnel for guiding weft conveying air, particularly suitable for glass fiber weaving use, and preventing warp fluffing without impairing weft flying travel stability and without increasing air consumption in making a picking.

In view of the fact that in a conventional tunnel reed, the upper jaw tip rim 6 where an upwardly slant rim 4 adjoins a guide groove upper rim 7 represents a perfectly circular arc, this reed has such a structure that at least in the vicinity of both ends thereof there are disposed with dents each of which represents an ellipsoidal arc with the moving direction of the reed on the loom as the major axis rather than an circular arc on the upper jaw tip rim 6 where an upwardly slant rim 4 adjoins a guide groove upper rim 7 and/or the lower jaw tip rim where a downwardly slant rim adjoins a guide groove lower rim; in other words, the curve forming the upper jaw tip rim 6 and/or the lower jaw tip rim of the dent is an arc-shaped one whose radius of curvature increases continuously or stepwise from the guide groove side toward the jaw tip.
