Abstract:
PURPOSE: To stably light an electric-discharge lamp at the time of lighting with low luminous flux and low temperature under dimming.
CONSTITUTION: An electric-discharge lamp La is lighted at high frequency by an inverter 3, and the generating frequency of the inverter 3 is changed, to dim and light the electric-discharge lamp La. D.C. voltage is applied to the electric-discharge lamp La at the time of low temperature through a voltage application circuit 13. The power that does not easily cause jump effect or flickering at the time of dimming and lighting of low temperature and low luminous flux, can thus supplied to the electric-discharge lamp La, to be stably lighted.
