Abstract:
To reduce loss in an electric drive system driven according to an operation mode.SOLUTION: In an electric vertical takeoff and landing aircraft 500, an electric drive system 10 includes a motor 20, an inverter device 11 for controlling operation of the motor, and a control device 30 for controlling the inverter device. The inverter device includes an inverter circuit 12 on which a plurality of switching elements connected in parallel with each other are mounted, and a circuit control unit 15 that can output drive signals independently to the respective switching elements. The circuit control unit receives any one of a plurality of operation signals indicating respective operation modes in which required output is different from each other from the control device, and sets the number of simultaneous drives, which is the number of switching elements simultaneously driven by synchronizing timing of turning on a plurality of switching elements, to the number of drives associated with the received operation signal in advance.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 2
