To provide an electric dust collector capable of preventing occurrence of continuous spark discharge while the spark discharge cannot be detected when a spark discharge detection circuit for measuring a load current and determining the presence/no presence of the spark discharge itself becomes abnormal, and the spark discharge is continuously caused and there is the possibility of ignition in the case of collecting combustible particles.
By utilizing a voltage detection circuit for spark discharge detection and using current detection and voltage detection together to detect the spark discharge, the electric dust collector capable of, even when one of the detection circuits fails, surely detecting the spark discharge by the remaining detection circuit and preventing the occurrence of the continuous spark discharge is obtained.
