Title:
ELECTRIC FIELD DETECTION OPTICAL DEVICE
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3869341
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric field detection optical device which improves sensitivity to an occupied area and is miniaturized.
SOLUTION: This electric field detection optical device 11 is provided with one electrode for connecting an electric field that is induced by an electric field transmission medium to be transmitted to electrooptic elements as a second electrode 37b between a first electrooptic element 27a and a second electrooptic element 27b and with the other electrode for connecting the electric field that is induced by the electric field transmission medium to be transmitted to the electrooptic elements as a first electrode 37a opposite from the second electrooptic element 27b in the first electrooptic element 27a and as a third electrode 37c opposite from the first electrooptic element 27a in the second electrooptic element 27b to form a sandwich structure composed of the electrodes and the electrooptic elements, which improves sensitivity to the occupied area considered in the thickness direction of the electrooptic elements to make the electric field detection optical device small.
