When the electric furnace 10 is tilted to the front side (toward the door body 20 in a door-opened state) by a specified angle on a base with the door body 20 in the opened state, the electric furnace 10 is slanted about the bottom end 171 of the front leg member 17, and even if the center of gravity of the electric furnace 10 is shifted to the front side (to the front wall side 111 of the furnace body 11), the center of gravity of the electric furnace 10 is prevented from being shifted frontward beyond the bottom end 171 of the front leg member 17 so that the furnace 10 is prevented from being turned over.
