Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an electric power tool which can be stably braked.SOLUTION: When an operation switch is turned off in a grinder 1, a cam 52 is rotated in a counterclockwise direction by energization of a torsion spring, each pressing roller 53 rides on a cam surface 52b of the cam 52 and moves to an outer side in a radial direction thereby pressing each brake shoe 55 onto an inner peripheral surface of a brake drum 56 against energization of a spring 54, and consequently, a brake force by a brake mechanism 50 acts. When the operation switch is turned on, the cam 52 is rotated in a clockwise direction in linkage with the operation switch, each pressing roller 53 falls on the cam surface 52b of the cam 52 and partially enters inside a notch 52a, each brake shoe 55 is separated from the inner peripheral surface of the brake drum 56 by the energization of the spring 54, and consequently, a brake force by the brake mechanism 50 is lost.SELECTED DRAWING: Figure 3
