Abstract:
To provide an electrical wire in which copper-catalyzed degradation in an insulation layer is not caused even when the insulation layer is reduced in thickness, and the insulation layer does not become brittle even when the electrical wire is placed under high temperature environments.
There are disclosed an electrical wire and a method of producing an electrical wire. The electrical wire includes a core wire 2 and a coating 4. The coating comprises a thermoplastic resin composition including a poly(arylene ether), a polyolefin and a polymeric compatibilizer, and is disposed to cover the core wire. The thermoplastic resin composition may further include a flame retardant.
