Abstract:

To improve the color irregularity and enhance the definition of a display image by suppressing the occurrence of stress in an electro-optical device such as a liquid crystal display device.

The electro-optic device (1) includes: an electro-optical panel (100); a dust-proof substrate (400) stuck to one of surfaces of the electro-optical panel; and a holding member (310) having a supporting portion (312) that supports an end portion of the dust-proof substrate and a body (314) arranged so as to surround the electro-optical panel.
