Abstract:

To provide an electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery offering excellent adhesion and conductivity between a collector and an electrode mixture layer, a method for manufacturing the same, and a lithium ion battery offering excellent cycle characteristics, and a method for manufacturing the same.

The electrode for a lithium ion secondary battery comprises a collector 13 composed of, for example, copper, an electrode mixture layer 14 formed on one side or both sides of the collector 13 and containing an active material 11 and a binder, and binder-rich layers 12 having a binder concentration relatively higher than that of the electrode mixture layer 14, being in the shape of a dot or a stripe, and provided at the interface between the collector 13 and the electrode mixture layer 14 at predetermined pitches, and has a binder concentration gradient on the surface of the collector 13. The adhesion between the collector 13 and the electrode mixture layer 14 is improved due to an anchor effect and the conductivity between the collector 13 and the electrode mixture layer 14 is ensured by providing the binder-rich layers 12 at the predetermined pitches.
