In the electrode plate attaching mechanism of a static electric field fryer 1 for attaching an electrode plate 5 for forming a static electric field inside an oil tank 2 of the deep fryer 1, the electrode plate 5 is secured to a support net 6 attached to the inside of the oil tank 2 by fixtures through an insulating member. Also, the edible oil filter of the fryer 1 for filtering edible oil comprises a first filter section for filtering large grains of cooking wastes included in the edible oil, and a second filter section for filtering small grains of cooking wastes which passed through the first filter section.
