To provide an electrode plate for nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery which can be used under harsh conditions over a long term and in which an electrode active material layer is not peeled off from a collector.
In the electrode plate 10 for a nonaqueous electrolyte secondary battery, a primer layer 3 and an electrode active material layer 2 are laminated, in this order, on a collector 1. The electrode active material layer 2 contains electrode active material particles 21, and a binding material 22 composed of a metal oxide. At least the electrode active material particles 21 are bound to each other by the binding material 22, and at least a silicon element and an oxygen element are contained in the primer layer 3. In the element abundance ratio obtained from the peak of silicon:2p and the peak of oxygen:1s by X ray electron spectroscopy analysis, the value of (number of silicon elements)÷(number of oxygen elements) is 0.22 or higher.
