To provide an electromagnetic noise detector which is built in an image forming device and specifies the wavelength and frequency of an electromagnetic wave noise.
Artificial muscles 301 are all tabular members, and twelve of them are arranged along the inner edge of an opening 305 of a noise detection unit 200. The artificial muscles 301 are supported by the support wall provided in the inner edge of the opening 305, and when a voltage is applied by an electrode (not shown), the artificial muscles are bent toward the center of the opening 305 and change the opening diameter. A casing 302 is a metallic rectangular parallelepiped container, and the artificial muscles 301 are arranged in the opening 305. Moreover, an opening is provided at a position opposing to the opening 305 and covered with a radio wave absorbing sheet 303. The electromagnetic wave noise having entered from the opening 305 is absorbed by the radio wave absorbing sheet 303 and raises the temperature of the radio wave absorbing sheet 303. A temperature sensor 304 is a contact-type thermistor and measures the temperature of the radio wave absorbing sheet 303.
