PURPOSE: To provide an electromagnetic type fuel injection valve wherein an injection valve itself has self-purification to collect a foreign matter.

CONSTITUTION: A filter 61 to collect a foreign matter in fuel is securely pressed in a valve member 27 reciprocatively arranged in the guide hole of a valve body 29. Fuel flowing through a guide pipe 43 is injected through an injection nozzle 31 to the outside after the flow of it through the filter 61, a small hole, a through-hole, and a guide hole 29a. Thereby, a foreign matter in fuel is collected in the valve member 27 without damaging the precise slide functions of a valve body 29 and the valve member 27. This constitution relieves a foreign matter managing work, such as management of the sizes of parts, such as a fixed core 21, a moving core 25, and a compression coil spring 28, of which an injection valve 20 being a precise slide part consists, and reduces a cost. Further, since there is no need for management of a foreign matter of each part, the defective product production factor of the parts of which the injection valve consists is reduced.
