An electronic apparatus includes: an electronic component having one of a light emitting function and a light receiving function; a substrate on which the electronic component is mounted; a housing covering the substrate and having an opening; and a light guide member which has transparency for light that the electronic component emits or receives and protects the electronic component. The light guide member has an exposed part exposed from the opening of the housing and a flange part enclosing the exposed part and joined to an inner surface of the housing.
