Title:
ELECTRONIC CONTROLLER
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS63301301
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:
PURPOSE:To invalidate the sensor output delivered in a defective state and to avoid the engine runaway by detecting the current flowing through a throttle valve opening amount sensor and grounding the output terminal of the sensor in accordance with said current detection result. CONSTITUTION:An electronic controller 7 supplies various information received from an air flow sensor, an engine speed sensor, and a throttle valve opening amount sensor 6 and operates the sprayed pulse width of a fuel spray valve based on these information. The controller 7 is connected to the sensor 6 attached to an engine via 1st-3rd harness 81-83. In such a constitution, only the normal detection is carried out if the faults like the disconnection, etc., occur in the systems of the 1st and 2nd harness 81 and 82. Then the following countermeasure is taken when the 3rd harness 83 has such faults. That is, an output transistor of a comparator 724 is turned on because the input voltage of a non-reversed input terminal of the comparator 724 drops. Then the input terminal of an A/D converter 73, i.e., the output terminal of the sensor 6 is grounded so that the engine control is disabled.
