This electronic partner system 1 for the vehicle is so constituted that a pet type robot (electronic partner) 2 capable of riding in the same vehicle to the operator (generally, a driver) of the vehicle and an electronic partner support device 3 to be installed in the vehicle are connected to each other so as to be capable of mutually receiving/transmitting data. The pet type robot 2 determines a self-reaction based on the action state of the vehicle transmitted from the electronic partner support device 3 and expresses and operates corresponding to the determined self-reaction. The pet type robot 2 converts a command input, which is given to the pet type robot 2 from the operator of the vehicle, into action control signal of a device and transmits them to the electronic partner support device 3. The electronic partner support device 3 controls the action of the device provided into the vehicle based on the action control signals outputted from the command input.
