Title:
ELECTROOPTICAL DEVICE AND ELECTRONIC EQUIPMENT
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP2004341544
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

To provide an electrooptical device and an electronic apparatus in which temperature is detected with a small temperature difference from the temperature of electrooptical elements while incorporating a temperature sensor in a driver IC so as to more accurately compensate temperature.

The electrooptical device is provided with: a panel 200 having electrooptical elements between a first substrate 210 and a second substrate 212; and a driver IC220 which is mounted on the first substrate 210 and drives the electrooptical elements. The driver IC220 has a temperature detecting section 120 which detects environmental temperature and temperature compensating circuits 130, 140 and 150 which perform temperature compensation required to drive the electrooptical elements on the basis of the actual temperature detected by the temperature detecting section 120. First and second electrodes 12 and 14 are formed on the first and second substrates 210 and 212 opposing the electrooptical elements. At least one of the first and second electrodes 12 and 14 is connected to the terminal 230 of the driver IC220 mounted on the first substrate 210 and has redundant portions 12A and 14A which are extended and formed onto the back surface of the driver IC220 while going over the location of the terminal 230.
