Title:
ELECTROPHOTOGRAPHIC PHOTORECEPTOR
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JPS5538523
Kind Code:
A
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To improve sensitivity and repetitive characteristics by dispersing P type dyes and N type dyes as pairs in molecular form in the photoconductor of ZnO- resin base and using this resin as a binder for ZnO.

CONSTITUTION: The solution comprising dissolving P-type dyes such as Rose Bengal and N-type dyes such as Crystal Violet at equal mole in a butyl alcohol or the like is added 0.05 to 0.2wt% to acrylic resin (solids 40%) to let these dyes be dispersed in the resin. This dispersion is thoroughly kneaded with ZnO powder (0.02 to 0.3μ) to let two kinds of the foregoing dyes be adsorbed on ZnO. This dispersion coating is coated on a conductive substrate such as polyester film or the like laminated with Al and is then dried. In this way, the photoreceptor of superior sensitivity having spectral sensitivity in a wavelength region superposed on laser wavelength is obtained. It is also possible to improve the conductivity of the resin by the paired molecules of the N-type and P-type dyes.
