Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an image forming apparatus capable of suitably suppressing occurrence of fogging even in such an environment that the fogging easily occurs like a case using a non-magnetic one-component contact development system in a positive charging development system.SOLUTION: An image forming apparatus having an electrophotographic photoreceptor having a single-layer photosensitive layer as an outermost surface layer, a toner, and a contact type developing roller, on a conductive support, where the outermost surface layer includes a resin having at least a charge-generating material, a charge-transporting material and a structure having an Si-O bond, and a resin containing a specific repeating unit, and the contact type developing roller has a mechanism that recovers a residual toner existing on the electrophotographic photoreceptor.SELECTED DRAWING: None
