PURPOSE: To prevent a crosstalk of adjacent pixels from occurring and to obtain a recording image of high quality by providing two switching elements for converting to a power source, and alternately dividing in two the electrode pair of a conduction recording head.
CONSTITUTION: First switching means 31 switches the positive side of a power source to odd electrode pair 33a and even electrode pair 33b, and second switching means 32 switches the negative side of the power source to electrode pair 33a and electrode pair 33b through power control meals 34a, 34b. For example, if the means 31, 32 are switched to b, d, the even electrode pair 33b become a high impedance irrespective of input data C, and the odd electrode pair 33a are conducted with the power source during a period of 'H' of input data B to conduct to a conduction heat generating layer 6 of a conduction transfer sheet 7. Thus, it can prevent a crosstalk of adjacent electrode pair and transfers sublimated dye in a dye layer 5 to a recording sheet 8 to form an image.
