To guide passengers in a car easily in getting to know which door will open by fitting two door opening guide lamps for two entrances respectively in the car and turning on a door opening guide lamp corresponding to a landing button or a destination button which has been operated when the car stops at the landing.

When a passenger gets on from a front door 21 on the first floor and gets off at a rear door 22 on the second floor, a car 27 is called to the first floor by, first, pushing a landing button of a landing on the first floor. A passenger 25 gets on the car 27, pushes a destination button on the second floor on an operation panel in a rear car, and closes a rear car call registering relay contact 2CRa. The car 27 reaches the second floor after closing a front door 21, so a position detecting relay contact 2Ea on the second floor is closed and a rear stop decision relay contact 5R is closed. As a result, a rear door opening request storage relay 6R is energized, a contact 6Ra is closed and self-held, and the contact 6Ra is also closed, thus turning on a rear door open guide lamp 7R.
