The oil feeder 50 of this elevator includes first and second tanks 53a, 53b disposed so as to face each other on both sides of a main rope 25, needle felts 54a, 54b through which the oil 54 contained in the first and second tanks 53a, 53b can permeate, one ends of which are oppositely disposed so as to hold the main rope 25, and which supply the oil 54 while coming into contact with the main rope 25, and a holding member 57 which surrounds the main rope 25 and connects the first and second tanks 53a, 53b. A ball roller 60 is attached to the bottom of each of the first and second tanks 53a, 53b. The first and second tanks 53a, 53b are integrally moved horizontally.
