Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an elevator capable of suppressing rock of a rope without disturbing a travel of a car and without enhancing strength of a connection part between the rope and the car or mounting an electric wire inside a hoistway.SOLUTION: An elevator 1 includes a rock suppression device 20. The rock suppression device 20 includes suppression members 21, 22, support mechanisms, a retreat mechanism 23, and a transmission mechanism 24. The support mechanisms support the suppression members 21, 22 inside a track in which a car 3 or a counterweight 6 travels, in a state that the suppression members 21, 22 are projected by elastic force. The retreat mechanism 23 causes the suppression members 21, 22 to retreat from the track in which the car 3 and the counterweight 6 travels against the elastic force of the support mechanisms. The transmission mechanism 24 transmits force of movement of a following rope 15 to the retreat mechanism 23 as drive force of the retreat mechanism 23.
