Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To obtain an embedding bolt for sleepers having a longer fitting life of the screw nail than the case that a screw is directly driven into a sleeper to fix a rail or a tie-plate on the sleeper, by forming a male screw at the outer peripheral face of a metallic cylindrical body and also forming a female screw at the inner peripheral face thereof.
SOLUTION: A male screw 11 and grooves 13 are formed at the outer peripheral face of a metallic cylindrical body and a female screw 12 is formed at the inner peripheral face thereof and further, a square hole 14 is formed at one opening thereof. The embedding bolt 1 is prevented from detaching itself from a sleeper by the male screw of the outer peripheral face after it has been embedded and the screw nail can be easily detached because the screw nail is screwed in the female screw 12. Since the embedding bolt for sleepers is made of a metallic cylinder, a permanent set in fatigue in the screw part, brought by the load and vibration on passing of trains is little and hence, the additional fastening interval of bolts becomes longer. In this way, the fitting life of screw nail can be prolonged in comparison with the fixing case that a rail or a tie-plate is fixed to a sleeper by directly driving screws into the sleeper.
