Title:
LIGHT RECEIVING DEVICE, OPTICAL TRANSMITTER AND LIGHT SEPARATING METHOD
Document Type and Number:
Japanese Patent JP3495150
Kind Code:
B2
Abstract:

PURPOSE: To provide miniaturized, lightened, stable, polarization dependency reduced and high-efficiency demultiplexing in comparison with the optical demultiplexer of a conventional optical TDM.
CONSTITUTION: This light receiving device is provided with an optical waveguide 2 for propagating time sequential signal light pulse trains, plural optical gates 4 inserted and arranged at the prescribed positions of the optical waveguide 2 so as to switch a transmission mode and a light reception mode corresponding to the presence/absence of a trigger light pulse, mode switching part for switching the respective optical gates 4 from the transmission mode to the light reception mode by transmitting the trigger light pulse to the respective optical gates 4 so as to photodetect a prescribed slot contained in the signal light pulse train at the respective plural optical gates 4, and reading circuit 9 for reading the respective slots photodetected by the respective optical gates 4 as parallel electric signals.
