Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To provide an embossing device which improves alert effects and is available over a wide range regardless of a site condition or a type of a traveling vehicle to be the basis, and a method of forming an alert groove.SOLUTION: The embossing device is freely attachable to and detachable from a traveling vehicle and comprises: a frame extending from a side face of the traveling vehicle; a roller mounted to the frame in a freely rotatable manner and including protrusions on a rotating peripheral surface; and a jack which makes the roller freely vertically movable. The roller is rotated while following up traveling of the traveling vehicle, so that an alert groove is formed on a road surface by the protrusions.
