Abstract:

PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent the excessive fluctuation of throttle opening and EGR valve opening caused by micro fluctuation and an error of accelerator opening sensor output in an engine provided with a throttle device and an EGR device controlled electronically.
SOLUTION: A target total operating gas quantity TTPGAS0 of an engine is compared with a predetermined limit value GASLMT, and when TTPGAS0 is larger than GASLMT, a target EGR quantity is corrected in a decrease direction for a specified period, or EGR is forbidden, and target throttle opening TTVO of a throttle control device Tc and target EGR valve opening TSTP of an EGR control device Ec are determined from a target intake quantity TTP, target EGR quantity TTPEGR and target total operating gas quantity TTPGAS0.
