To provide an engine controller of a construction vehicle that is able to reduce an engine burden in time of starting an engine.
When an operator intends to start an engine 9 and turns a key switch 6 to ON, a controller 7 inputs an operated variable signal out of a tensiometer 2, and it is judged that whether it is larger than an operated variable at the specified low speed position prestored in this controller 7. When a side of the operated variable signal is large that, such a signal as operating an alarm system 16 is outputted, emitting an alarm from this arm system 16. With this constitution, a fact that a revolution setting in a throttle dial 1 is too large is informable to the operator. When the operator actuates the throttle dial 1, correcting it to the yet smaller revolution, and consequently the operated variable signal out of the potentiometer 2 has come to less than the stored value, a driving signal is made into a state of being opened to an engine stop motor 12, starting the rotation of a starter-motor 15, and thus the engine 9 is started.
