Abstract:
PROBLEM TO BE SOLVED: To prevent a degradation in durability of a clutch without sacrificing its starting responsiveness.
SOLUTION: A vehicular engine stop control device, which stops an engine automatically on predetermined stop conditions and then restarts it on predetermined restart conditions, executes torque-down control on the engine (step 380) only when restarting the engine while the foot brake and accelerator pedals are both set on (step 340 and step 350 are both YES).
