PURPOSE: To enable accurate application of a baking repair material to a repair part and also to enable regulation of the amount of the baking repair material in the course of repair by providing equipment for hot repair which is so designed as to pour the baking repair material directly to the repair part of the furnace wall of a kiln from a bucket fitted to the fore end part of an arm.

CONSTITUTION: In the case when a converter 13 is subjected to hot repair, the converter 13 is tilted until a repair part 13b thereof is set in a horizontal state. In the case when the repair part 13b is located in the periphery of a steel outlet 14 on the occasion, the steel outlet 14 is closed up by inserting a core 15 into it so as to prevent a baking repair material from flowing out. In this state, equipment 1 for hot repair is brought to a position for the repair by a running truck 2, the fore end part of an arm 6 to which a bucket 10 holding the baking repair material is fitted is plunged into a furnace port 13a and, at the position for the repair, the bucket 10 is sent to a position above the repair part 13b practically through the intermediary of the arm 6 by an arm sending device 7. Then, the baking repair material is poured to the repair part 13b by rotating the bucket 10 by an arm rotating device 8.
