Abstract:
To provide an erosion resistant member for non-ferrous molten metal, the member that has comparatively inexpensive manufacturing cost and that is superior in wear resistance and erosion resistance.
The erosion resistant member for non-ferrous molten metal is characterized in that a coating layer made of a high-speed steel based alloy is provided at least on a part of the surface of a base material composed of an iron-based or steel-based material and that a nitride layer is formed on the surface of the coating layer. The erosion resistant member is also characterized in that carbide such as MC-, M2C-, M6C-, M7C3-, M4C3- and M23C6-based carbide contained in the coating layer is not more than 25% in the sum total of the area ratios.
